Jared Moskowitz (FL-23)

Incumbent

Congressman Jared Moskowitz is an attorney, former emergency management director, and two-term incumbent representing Florida's 23rd Congressional District. Born and raised in Coral Springs, Moskowitz graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School before earning degrees from George Washington University and Nova Southeastern University School of Law. He served six years in the Florida House, then was appointed by Republican Governor Ron DeSantis to lead Florida's Division of Emergency Management, where he oversaw the state's response to multiple hurricanes and the COVID-19 pandemic.

After the 2018 mass shooting at his alma mater, Moskowitz worked with victims' families and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to pass the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act — the most comprehensive gun violence prevention and school safety bill ever passed in Florida. In Congress, he serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he is Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Oversight & Intelligence. Due to Republican-led redistricting, Moskowitz is running for reelection in the newly drawn FL-25, a coastal South Florida seat rated a toss-up by Cook Political Report — and a must-win for a Democratic House majority in 2026.
