Zach Dembo is a ninth-generation Kentuckian, Navy veteran, and former federal prosecutor running to flip Kentucky's 6th Congressional District. His career in public service includes serving as a Navy JAG officer, prosecuting civil rights violations and public corruption at the Department of Justice, and advising Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear.

In May 2025, Zach resigned from the Justice Department over concerns about the Trump administration's politicization of federal law enforcement. He's now running for Congress to restore accountability in Washington, lower costs for working families, and expand economic opportunity across Central Kentucky.

Zach faces Republican Ralph Alvarado in a traditionally Republican district that has become unexpectedly competitive. Recent polling shows Zach leading by six points, giving Democrats a promising opportunity to flip this open seat as they fight to reclaim the House majority.
