Steven Horsford (NV-04)
Incumbent
Congressman Steven Horsford represents Nevada’s 4th Congressional District. As the son of a single immigrant mother, he was the first in his family to attend college. He later led the state’s largest workforce development program and made history as Nevada’s first African American Senate Majority Leader. As a State Senator, he worked across party lines to pass landmark legislation to create clean energy jobs, to solve the worst budget crisis in state history, and to protect essential health care. Elected to Congress in 2012, Steven has passed legislation to make housing more affordable, reduce prescription drug costs, and secure funding for Nevada’s schools and job–training programs. His current appointments include the Ways and Means Committee and Chief Deputy Whip, and he serves as chair emeritus of the Congressional Black Caucus and as a co–chair of the Congressional Labor Caucus. As a pro-innovation leader, Steven advances policies that strengthen life sciences research and health care, and a vocal opponent to tariff‑driven economy policies that jeopardize U.S. manufacturing and supply chains.
Congressman Horsford faces a frontline battle in Nevada’s 4th district, where he won a narrow victory in 2024 with 53% of the electorate. Two MAGA Republicans entered the race against him in 2026, and we expect another tight contest.
