Marcy Kaptur (OH-09)

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur represents Ohio’s 9th Congressional District. The longest-serving woman in congressional history, Marcy has spent decades fighting for manufacturing communities, Great Lakes restoration, national security, and economic development across northern Ohio. In Congress, she serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the House Budget Committee, with Appropriations assignments covering agriculture, defense, and energy and water development.

Marcy narrowly won re-election in 2024 by just 0.64 percentage points, defeating her opponent 48.27% to 47.63% in one of Ohio’s closest congressional races. Marcy faces another highly competitive race in 2026.
