Christina Hines (MI-10)
Red to Blue Candidate
Christina Hines is a prosecutor, mom, and lifelong Macomb County resident running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School, Christina has built her career fighting for victims and survivors of sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking. As a prosecutor and legal leader in Michigan, she has taken on cases involving hate crimes, cold-case sexual assaults, homicide, torture, and human trafficking, while also launching a restorative justice program.
Christina is running to flip a district that has produced some of the closest congressional races in the country. In 2024, Republican Rep. John James won Michigan’s 10th by fewer than 7,000 votes — just 1.6 percentage points — after winning the seat by less than one percentage point in 2022. With James leaving the House to run for governor, Michigan’s 10th represents a major pickup opportunity for Democrats in 2026.
Michigan’s 10th constitutes a must-win seat to secure a House majority, and we can only get there with Christina’s success.
